I agree - I am making an effort myself to send REAL mail again. Postcards are especially fun.
BTW - I saw a few of your photos of an older LM house. I have a website - www.ourlamirada.com/mainphoto.html - on which I collect and display old photos of LM. I also have a small gallery of current day photos.
There are actually quite a few people my age (40's and 50's) who grew up in La Mirada during the 50's and 60's, have moved away and treasure the time they lived there.
If you would be willing to share some of your current day photos of houses, buildings, parks, schools, shops, etc - ESPECIALLY the old ones, I know you would have an audience and I would be more than happy to adverstise you on the front page, www.ourlamirada.com. The front page has been undergoing a change, still trying to set things up, but the photo archives are still there.
