Today in the mail I got Jesh deRox's fine art textures-- essentially, a tool i can use to help me process my photos. it was my prize from the explorers contest that i got 2nd place in! i used the Simon's family photoshoot as a chance to test them out-- and i'm excited about the little spice that it adds. its subtle, which is what i love. its like adding fresh basil to a spinach salad. secret, but makes it pop.
So I met the Simon's when I was thirteen and an awkward high-schooler. How cool to be photographing their family eight whole years later! We had a blast together-- and it was neat to see the girls so grown up.

Who would know that this was the beach!
Gosh, it was so beautiful this past weekend.Brooke and Olivia were so much fun !!
here's Livie digging up some crabs or something,
the beach was windy and crowded so we stopped by the bathrooms for a few non-windy shots. amazingly we were the only ones who utilized this beautiful wall-- and amazingly, they'll be the only ones with non-windblown hair on their family Christmas card. ;)and then we went to location number three...
their beautiful home.Livie showed me her hamsterskittles!
