my most embarrassing moment(s) –

this has happened to me three times.

Someone goes to brush a little hair off of my neck and realizes:
OH. oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S CONNECTED
then I proceed to turn bright red.
and i mean... bright. red.

i get little black chin hairs. often.

i feel lucky to have good friends like Rosanna who will 1) tell me when i have them, and 2) pluck them for me.

Does anyone else have this problem?

my solution is as follows.
I'm going to start keeping tweezers in three places. my purse, my car and my bathroom. i hate when i'm out and i find one... and then i have to try and yank it out with my fingernails, like i did this afternoon in my car right before class.

it would be highly encouraging if you could share an embarrassing moment with us all via the comments... so we can relax and breathe a sigh of relief that we're not alone.

me ages 2-4.

digging through family photos is always fun for me. i'm sentimental and nostalgic. i never really knew i had a hanging-out-in-the-bathtub theme in my life though.
i was reading a Kids Bible.
probably called Bible 4 Kidz!
little shannon in florida.
first day of preschool
...decorated with my mom's clip-on earrings and bow,
my mom sewed me this outfit, including the headband. (and i think she sewed that cat too)

don't blackmail me,
especially since my hair didn't grow until age 4.

what bedtime looks like for me:

i like to dress in all one color for bed.
so do some of my roommates and friends.
we have to be different colors though.
this is blythe and i.
we self timed this one.
i think it took 5 tries.

voice update,
i still have none.
literally zero.
not even rhasps today.

i'm getting a kick out of it though-- because when i try to talk to people, all that comes out is a whisper, and without fail: they always WHISPER BACK! its so funny!!

i guess my non-blogging finals week isn't happening.
so, hi!

Vancouver, BC day three.

my day started with coffee, like usual, but today's had an AMAZING CUP!! man ALIVE. look at that rad handle. this hotel we're at has the best coffee presentation i've...ever seen. i had to show you. :)
here's a quintessential Canadian chandelier and here are some weird photos from last night that we took while waiting for our shuttle back to the hotel, which NEVER CAME. I have no idea what Carson is doing in this photo, but I love thinking about it. Caption ideas? eh?
Another awkward moment that makes me laugh.
the boys. we figured out that our breath was photographable. look at the accidental but wonderful breath border.
Now, here are some special photos of my mom. We got to watch my parents speak tonight, and the whole time I couldn't help but notice that she completely blended in with the wallpaper and curtains behind her. Garden State memories, anyone?
lets all take off our photo-analyzing hats, because in terms of lighting, these photos are terrible. BUT. In terms of PRECIOUSNESS... they win big big points.what I love about my mom is that she can laugh at this. :)here's that scene from the film Garden State that i was envisioning. this, to me, is one of the funniest things in life. does anyone else get a kick out of things like this?
Here's another Stephanie and Shannon Classic.
Stephanie's trip to visit me in California the first year I moved...
and we thought burying me would be fun.

dessert time. :)
my favorite time of day, i think.

Graphic Design field trip to ChuckECheese >>

graphic design class met at ChuckECheese on Thursday instead of the usual basement dungeon semi-classroom.

we were exploring form.
taking a look at the environment we were in and collecting data.
ie: getting inspiration from our surroundings to use in later art pieces. (orphan.)
iiiiiiiiiiiii,, EEEE:
Here's Mark, the man with the plan. {professor}
BethanyGregSunny
Claire
JamesBethXiomara
Jamie
Lehua
Me,
and Jehoddan, who missed the first round of photos and so gets this one, which i think is amazing!
since the purpose of the trip was to learn how to collect form and ideas from a place, Mark showed us what he'd do if it were his project. he'd tape up a piece of pizza for later inspirationcolor... texture... shape... line ...
pizza, can be inspiring.after lunch we had a skee-ball tournament. James, the one holding out the ball, concentrating, visualizing his WIN, won.
i think this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, getting a ChuckECheese SKETCH with your professor, during class. {jehoddan, trying not to laugh, me, squished, beth, loving live, and mark, overtaking the world with his curls.}
here's one of the hyper kids with a million tickets. kids are GOOD at arcade games. I think I got 30 tickets total. These kids had hundreds. {jealousss!}.with our tickets we each had to buy a prize, and then we're going to use our prize in our next poster project
my thirty tickets got me fangs and a tootsie roll.
Bethany got a happy happy happyring.
Jamie got the fish glasses, and here's Greg experimenting with one of our form-finding tools
i was next to one of the little screaming kids playing skee-ball, and she leaned over and whispered to me, "GUESS WHAT. coming to ChuckECheese today is like.... a dream come TRUE."
YESSS girl, yes.
